Hi, I’m Edla Prevette
Caring for these two cuties is awesome but being the caretaker for my aging parents was one of the most rewarding and challenging roles I’ve ever had in my life!
About Edla Prevette
I was my parents caretaker for over 10 years and having to care for my aging parents was WAY more than I bargained for!
It was equal parts perplexing and infuriating! Worrisome and frustrating!
Like you I was thinking there has got to be a better way but you’re worried that if you stay on this trajectory it’s just going to get worse.
So my mission is to help you be the best caretaker you can be for your aging parents.
I want to use my professional and personal experience to make the caretaking journey easier for you.
Witnessing the changes in your parents as they age is not only sad but challenging.
Helping care for my aging parents was something I was always willing to do BUT…
Out of nowhere it felt like my life had done a one-eighty and my parents acted like teenagers or toddlers!
I remember the first time I thought, “What the heck is going on with Mom and Dad?”
Dad got lost going to the same gas station he had driven to for the last 20 years? Mom was not able to problem solve issues with her computer and printer which she had generally been pretty good at.
Over the years I experienced countless situations with my parents where I was scratching my head and thinking “Good grief, how do I handle this?!” They wouldn’t listen to reasoning! It was baffling and maddening!
I’d love to partner with you on your caretaking journey!
I offer complimentary resources, small group programs and one on one coaching packages.
All of my work with adult children of aging parents is in memory of my parents.
